Our stone house in Skrbčići on the island of Krk is the heir to building techniques from ancient times, when only earth, quicklime, stone, and wood were used. Built in 1908 from available materials, today it stands as a protected witness to past times and a shelter for a true escape from the nervous, modern way of life.
Everything in it is uneven and nothing is geometrically perfect, and it is exactly in those cracks and in the shade of the old mulberry tree that the eyes and soul find complete peace.
About the House
On the upper floor, there are two bedrooms sharing an adjoining bathroom, while the ground floor features a comfortable living room with a sofa bed and an additional bathroom. The fully equipped kitchen with a dining area opens directly onto a beautiful covered terrace.
In the courtyard, you will find a covered summer kitchen with a grill, a small storage room, an outdoor shower, and a relaxing spot in the deep shade of an old mulberry tree. A secured parking space is also provided under the shade of a summer sail.
In the immediate vicinity, there is a bocce court and sports playgrounds, a small local shop, and the famous tavern "Ivinčić", located just 30 meters from the house.
